Welcome to Aussie Online Shops

The internet has its share of fraud, just like the real world.

One of the reasons for this site is to find sites that at least are in the same country. That makes police action possible.

Tips to minimise fraud :

If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. The internet is just like your local market ... if something seems to cheap, there may be something wrong with it.

Make sure the company exists. Ring their contact number and see if the staff know what they are talking about (or even if they answer). Never deal with a company you cannot speak to.

Pay by credit card. I know that sounds like it increases the risk, but the reality is that many credit card companies will protect you against their merchants failing to deliver what they charge you for. This varies from card to card, and bank to bank, so ask your bank what their policy is.

Check your credit card statements carefully. Make sure that there is nothing you have not authorised, and transactions are for the amount you agreed to.
